Sustainability starts in operations

For income-producing real estate, **sustainability** is often an operations story: energy use, envelope performance, maintenance discipline, and tenant comfort. On-chain interfaces can make **reporting** and **milestones** easier to share — but they do not, by themselves, improve a building’s physics.

When evaluating any project, ask what can be **verified** (audits, bills, certifications) versus what is **aspirational**. Prefer teams that separate **targets** from **achieved** metrics.
